At Abacus Care, our mission is to provide premium, person-centred NDIS support that goes beyond the basics — support that uplifts, empowers, and enables people to live with purpose and possibility.

As a registered and fully compliant NDIS provider operating across Southern Tasmania, we offer tailored support that meets everyday needs and creates space for growth, exploration, and recovery.

We also offer individualised travel support and tailored getaways designed to help participants recharge, explore remote locations, and reconnect with nature, supported one-on-one in a spacious, off-road-capable vehicle. These exclusive trips (max 1–2 participants) provide a safe, comfortable, and enriching break from daily routines.

All of our support workers are Police Checked, Working with Vulnerable People registered, and NDIS screened, giving you peace of mind that your care is being delivered safely and professionally.

The abacus is one of the world’s oldest tools for understanding, measuring, and making sense of numbers. First used over 2,500 years ago in ancient Mesopotamia and later refined in China, Egypt, and Greece, the abacus helped people calculate with accuracy long before modern technology existed. It’s a symbol of clarity, focus, structure, and balance — qualities that remain essential today, not just in mathematics, but in human support and care.

At Abacus Care, we chose the abacus as our name and symbol because it represents exactly how we approach our work:
